TECHNICAL ILLUSTRATION / PATENT DRAWINGS

PATENT DRAWINGS.
Your invention, clearly drawn.

Clear, formal patent illustration for utility and design patent applications: utility patent drawings that show how your invention works, and design patent drawings that show exactly how it looks. Send us your CAD files, photos, sketches or prototype and your numbering list: we deliver black-and-white sheets to USPTO standards, ready for your attorney or for filing.

01 / DRAWN TO THE RULES

FIGURES THAT
explain the invention.

01

Formal from the start

Margins, line weights, numbering, lead lines and sheet layout follow the USPTO drawing rules, so you avoid drawing objections that delay your application.

02

The right views

Perspective, orthographic, exploded and section views chosen to show what your claims describe — not just what the object looks like.

03

Easy to amend

You receive editable vector files as well as the PDF, so later changes for an office action take minutes, not a full redraw.

FOR INVENTORS, STARTUPS AND PATENT PROFESSIONALS.

Utility patents

Devices, mechanisms, tools and products with views that show how they work.

Design patents

The standard set of views with surface shading for ornamental designs.

Method & software patents

Flowcharts, block diagrams and system diagrams with step numbers.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE.

01

Filing-ready PDF

All sheets in one PDF at the correct size and margins, numbered and ready to upload.

02

Editable vectors

SVG and AI files for each sheet, so your attorney or we can make later amendments quickly.

03

Figure list

A short list of every figure and what it shows, to help with your brief description of the drawings.

BEFORE WE START.

  • CAD files (STEP, STL, SolidWorks, Fusion) if you have them — they give the most accurate result.
  • Otherwise, clear photos from several angles, sketches or an existing drawing.
  • The list of figures you need and the reference numerals for each part.
  • Your patent office (USPTO by default) and any instructions from your attorney.
  • Your filing deadline.

Drawings only, with confidentiality.

We prepare the drawings; we do not give legal advice, search prior art or file applications. Your attorney or agent decides what the figures must show. Everything you send is treated as confidential and never shown in our portfolio.

Before you order

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED. Before you need to ask.

What is a sheet?

A sheet is one page of drawings. It can contain one large figure or several small ones. Most utility applications need 3 to 8 sheets; a design patent usually needs 2 to 4.

Can you draw from photos or a prototype?

Yes. CAD files give the most accurate result, but clear photos from several angles, sketches or a physical prototype photographed carefully all work.

Do you follow USPTO rules?

Yes. Sheets follow 37 CFR 1.84: black ink line drawings, required margins, line weights, numbering and lettering size. Other offices (EPO, WIPO, Spain's OEPM) can be agreed in the brief.

Is my invention kept confidential?

Yes. Your files are used only for your drawings, are never shared and never appear in our portfolio. We can sign your NDA before you send anything.

What if the office objects to a drawing?

Send us the objection and we will correct the affected sheets. The 10-sheet package includes an extra correction round after your attorney's review.

Do you include shading?

Surface shading is standard in design patent sets and used in utility drawings only where it helps understanding, as the rules allow.
